Haikou University of Economics (HUE) is a private undergraduate university chiefly based on specialty programmes such as economics, management, engineering, literature, the arts and education. Founded in 1974 as a college, the school was later upgraded to a university by the approval of the Ministry of Education in March 2008. Haikou University of Economics consists of 12 colleges and schools with 47 undergraduate majors, with students from 27 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions nationwide. There are 23,000 full-time students currently, among them 16,100 are undergraduates. HUE has won many academic and honourary titles such as National Non-government Funded Education Advanced Collective, and one of the top 50 universities to get the National Award of Innovative Entrepreneurship. HUE boasts of excellent academic conditions with a beautiful first-class campus. Covering a land area of 1.1 square kilometres and a total construction area of close to 700,000 square metres, the campus has involved an investment of more than 2 billion yuan (CNY). Enjoying well-equipped teaching facilities, HUE has comprehensive and professional experimental and training laboratories. The library is rich in its storage of books with a collection of more than 1.422 million hard copy books, and more than 2.048 million electronic books. Cultural and sports facilities are complete with gymnasium, swimming pools, concert halls, stadium, as well as quality development training base. Providing complete living quarters such as student dormitories, standard hotels, restaurants, canteens and supermarkets, HUE is an ideal academic and living centre for students both home and abroad.

Teaching Departments（Offering Hainan Government Scholarship)

一、?？诮?jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)院將擇優(yōu)錄取所選送的高中及同等學(xué)歷生（應(yīng)屆畢業(yè)生優(yōu)先考慮），學(xué)生需提供公證過的畢業(yè)證書和高中畢業(yè)成績單（英文或中文版），及學(xué)校或相關(guān)部門提供的無違規(guī)違法證明。

Haikou University of Economics will select the best high school and equivalent students(fresh high school graduates will be given priority). Students need to provide notarized graduation certificates and high school graduation transcripts (English or Chinese version), and None Crime Certificate provided by the school or relevant departments.

二、被錄取的高中畢業(yè)生擇優(yōu)錄取后，將享受海南省政府獎學(xué)金或本校獎學(xué)金，在海口經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)院免費(fèi)學(xué)習(xí)本科四年，學(xué)生可在海口經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)院上述9個學(xué)院40個專業(yè)中選擇自己喜歡的學(xué)院及專業(yè)，并列出第1、2、3志愿。

Students who are accepted by HUE will be given the Hainan Provincial Government International Student Scholarship or HUE International Student Scholarship to study undergraduate courses for free for 4 years. Students can list the first, second and third majors according to their own intentions from the majors provided above.

三、?？诮?jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)院的本科專業(yè)均為中文授課，因此申請來我校就讀的學(xué)生，漢語水平需達(dá)到HSK4級（含）以上。

The undergraduate majors of Haikou University of Economics are taught in Chinese. Therefore, students who apply to study at our university must reach HSK 4 or higher. Please provide the HSK certificate. 

四、報(bào)名時間

每年獎學(xué)金審核截止時間為4月10日，我校3月10日截止報(bào)名。

The deadline for the annual scholarship application is April 10, and the deadline for providing materials to our University is March 10.

五、報(bào)名流程

（一）1．申請可有以下兩種途徑（網(wǎng)上申請或現(xiàn)場報(bào)名）：

  發(fā)送郵件至513616253@qq.com詢要《海南省政府國際學(xué)生獎學(xué)金申請表》填寫完畢后回傳；

（二）入學(xué)申請材料：

1.海南省政府國際學(xué)生獎學(xué)金申請表

2.護(hù)照復(fù)印件及1張白底電子證件照

3.高中畢業(yè)證公證原件（英文或中文）

4.高中成績單公證原件（英文或中文）

5.HSK4級及以上成績證明

6.兩封推薦信（英文或中文）

7.由當(dāng)?shù)鼐妥x學(xué)?；蛳嚓P(guān)部門出具的無犯罪證明（英文或中文）

8.近六個月內(nèi)的體檢證明（包含英文或中文）

9.中文個人陳述（500字以上）

Application Procedure

1) Online application or application in person

Online registration: please send an email to 513616253@qq.com to ask for Application Form for Hainan Government Scholarship(HGS) and send it back after completion.

2) Please send the following application materials to the above email address

①Application Form for Hainan Government Scholarship(HGS).

②Copies of applicant's passport and a digital white background identification photo.

③Original notarized document of high school diploma (in English or Chinese).

④Original notarized document of transcript of high school (in English or Chinese)

⑤Certificate of HSK level 4 or above.

⑥Two Letters of Recommendation(in English or Chinese).

⑦A None-Crime certificate issued by the local school or related department(in English or Chinese).

⑧A certificate of medical examination within six months (in English or Chinese).

⑨Personal statement/ Study plan in Chinese(No less than 500 words).

六、住宿、教材及保險(xiǎn)費(fèi)

學(xué)校提供兩種宿舍：1.學(xué)生宿舍4人間，含衛(wèi)生間、獨(dú)立寫字臺、床、空調(diào)、熱水器、洗衣機(jī)、飲水機(jī)、電扇等，費(fèi)用每人每學(xué)年2800元。2.賓館式2人標(biāo)間，費(fèi)用為每人每學(xué)年5600元，含衛(wèi)生間、獨(dú)立寫字臺、床、大衣柜、空調(diào)、熱水器、飲水機(jī)、電扇，內(nèi)配敞開式廚房操作臺、微波爐。學(xué)校據(jù)實(shí)收取教材費(fèi)，學(xué)生需自行負(fù)擔(dān)醫(yī)療保險(xiǎn)費(fèi)用800元/年。

Accommodation, Book and Insurance Fees

The university provides students 2 types of dormitory.

Type 1: Dormitory of 4 persons/room, including bathroom, separate writing desk, bed, air conditioner, water heater, washing machine, water dispenser, fan, etc. The dormitory fee is RMB 2,800 per person/year.

Type 2: Hotel standard two beds room with an open kitchen counter, which provides microwave oven, wardrobe, bathroom, separate writing desk, bed, air conditioner, water heater, water dispenser and fan, etc. The dormitory fee is RMB 5,600 per person/year.

The school collects teaching materials fee according to the actual situation, and students are responsible for their own medical insurance (800yuan/year).

漢語語言生招生 Chinese Language Learning Students

一、課程概況

1.課程等級：初級、中級。學(xué)校根據(jù)學(xué)生的漢語基礎(chǔ)將學(xué)生分成初級漢語、中級漢語兩個層次進(jìn)行培訓(xùn)。

2. 學(xué)習(xí)期限：一學(xué)年／一學(xué)期

3. 學(xué)習(xí)目標(biāo)：漢語初級班注重漢語基礎(chǔ)知識的訓(xùn)練，結(jié)業(yè)達(dá)到HSK2級。漢語中級班在繼續(xù)鞏固漢語基礎(chǔ)知識的同時，加強(qiáng)閱讀技能的提高和寫作能力的培養(yǎng)，結(jié)業(yè)達(dá)到HSK4級。

4.課程設(shè)置：以聽說讀寫課及綜合課相結(jié)合的課型模式進(jìn)行漢語言系統(tǒng)教學(xué)，同時不定期安排中國文化考察或課外語言實(shí)踐活動。

Teaching Course Overview

1. Course levels: elementary and intermediate. Students are divided into two classes, elementary and intermediate, according to their Chinese level.

2. Period of schooling: one academic year/ one semester.

3. Target proficiency: Target proficiency: the elementary Chinese class focuses on the training of basic Chinese language knowledge, and the achievement of HSK2 level after the completion of the course. While continuing to consolidate the basic Chinese language knowledge, the intermediate Chinese class also strengthens the improvement of reading and writing ability in order that the students could pass HSK4 level after the completion of course.

4. Curriculum setting: systematic teaching of Chinese language is carried out by combining listening, speaking, reading, writing and comprehensive courses. Meanwhile, Chinese culture study or practical language activities are arranged accordingly.

二、課時安排

每周周一至周五共20節(jié)以上的課堂教學(xué)；另根據(jù)實(shí)際情況，增設(shè)部分其它輔助課程。每周一到兩次課外語言實(shí)踐活動（漢語角）。

學(xué)生可參加學(xué)校組織的其它課外活動。

Teaching Arrangement

More than 20 class hours from Monday to Friday will be arranged in each week and auxiliary classes added at times according to teaching requirement. There is extracurricular activity once or twice a week (Chinese corner) as a supplement for further enrichment of language practice.

三、入學(xué)條件

身體健康、品行端正無犯罪記錄，愿意遵守中國的法律法規(guī)及學(xué)校紀(jì)律，尊重中國人民風(fēng)俗習(xí)慣的外籍青年。

Admission Requirements

Foreign students who are healthy, well-behaved, with no criminal record, willing to abide by the Chinese laws and school regulations, and respect Chinese people's customs and habits are qualified to apply for scholarship to study in the Chinese Language Training Class.

四、報(bào)名時間

隨時報(bào)名，不收取報(bào)名費(fèi)。

每年3月初或9月初入學(xué)。每年3月-6月為初級班，9月-12月為中級班，選擇9月入學(xué)的學(xué)生，漢語最好達(dá)到HSK二級水平。

Time for Application

Students may apply and register at any time and no registration and enrollment fees will be charged.

    The elementary class is from March to June and the intermediate class is from September to December. The Chinese level of the students enrolled in September is better to reach HSK level 2.

五、申請流程

1．申請可有以下兩種途徑（網(wǎng)上申請或現(xiàn)場報(bào)名）：

①  網(wǎng)絡(luò)報(bào)名：發(fā)送郵件至513616253@qq.com詢要《?？诮?jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)院來華留學(xué)生入學(xué)申請表》填寫完畢后回傳；

②  現(xiàn)場報(bào)名：從?？诮?jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)院國際交流合作處辦公室領(lǐng)取并填寫《海口經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)院來華留學(xué)生入學(xué)申請表》。

2．發(fā)送以下申請材料至上述郵箱（無論是否錄取，申請材料恕不退還）：

①  申請人護(hù)照復(fù)印件；

②  近期護(hù)照用免冠白底電子照片1張；

③  提供高中或高中同等學(xué)力的畢業(yè)證明和成績單掃描件；

④  通過HSK4級后，如希望直升我校本科并申請省政府獎學(xué)金或本校獎學(xué)金的學(xué)生，需提供高中或高中同等學(xué)力的畢業(yè)證明和成績單的公證原件。

Application Procedure

1.  Online application or application in person :

① Online registration: please send an email to 513616253@qq.com to ask for Application Form for International Students of Haikou University of Economics, and send it back after completion;

② Registration in person: come to the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation of HUE and fill in the Application Form for International Students of Haikou University of Economics;

2. Please send the following application materials to the above email address (the application materials will not be returned regardless of admission approval):

① Copies of applicant's passport or identity document;

② One bareheaded, white-background, electronic photo of recent passport.

③ Scanning copies of High school(or Vocational school) graduation  certificate.

④Students who has the intention to apply for government scholarship and continue their study in undergraduate programmes in HUE, after Chinese Language Training Class study with HSK4 examination results, are required to provide NOTARIZED  high school graduation  certificates and school transcripts.

六、入學(xué)流程

確認(rèn)被錄取的留學(xué)生持《錄取通知書》，按以下程序辦理入學(xué)手續(xù)：

1. 提交免冠白底照片4張（3.3*4.8cm）；

2. 入學(xué)第一天繳納教材費(fèi)（600元）、保險(xiǎn)費(fèi)（580元-800元）和住宿費(fèi)。學(xué)校提供兩種宿舍：1. 學(xué)校提供兩種宿舍：1.學(xué)生宿舍4人間，含衛(wèi)生間、獨(dú)立寫字臺、床、空調(diào)、熱水器、洗衣機(jī)、飲水機(jī)、電扇等，費(fèi)用每人每學(xué)年2,800元。2.賓館式2人標(biāo)間，費(fèi)用為每人每學(xué)年5600元，含衛(wèi)生間、獨(dú)立寫字臺、床、大衣柜、空調(diào)、熱水器、飲水機(jī)、電扇，內(nèi)配敞開式廚房操作臺、微波爐。

Admission Procedure

International students who have confirmed their admission shall go through the admission process according to the following procedures with the Admission Letter issued by HUE school authority:

1. Hand in 4 bareheaded, white-background photos (3.3*4.8cm);

2. On the first day of your arrival, please hand in the textbook(600RMB), insurance fee(580-800RMB/year) and dormitory fee.

The university provides students 2 types of dormitory.

Type 1: Dormitory of 4 persons/room, including bathroom, separate writing desk, bed, air conditioner, water heater, washing machine, water dispenser, fan, etc. The dormitory fee is RMB 2,800 per person/year.

七、獎學(xué)金及學(xué)費(fèi)

學(xué)校每年保持20個一學(xué)年漢語培訓(xùn)班全額獎學(xué)金名額，提供給提前報(bào)名并符合條件的優(yōu)秀學(xué)生，免去其16,000元人民幣的全年學(xué)費(fèi)。

學(xué)校為未能獲得全額獎學(xué)金的學(xué)生提供半額獎學(xué)金8,000元，即每學(xué)年只需繳納8,000元人民幣的半額學(xué)費(fèi)（每學(xué)期4,000元）。

Scholarship and Tuition Fees

HUE maintains 20 full scholarships for one-year Chinese language training class every year, which are awarded to students who are most qualified and apply in advance. The annual tuition fee of 16,000 yuan CNY is thus waived.

The school provides half-scholarship, waiver of 50% of the school tuition fee, for students who fail to obtain the full scholarship. Students get half-scholarship may only pay 8,000 yuan CNY for the academic year (4,000 yuan per semester).
